Think about walking into a gallery – is color the first thing that draws you in? Luminous tones and bright bold colors work to evoke specific moods, enhance visual storytelling and create a desired aesthetic. CAPE ANN COLLECTORS celebrates “Color in its Boldest Hue” joyfully throughout our new show opening November 8 and 9, 1-5 p.m., and running Saturdays through November 29 (all 56 works on display)!
Modernist Theresa Bernstein, using color as a path to modernity, employs color as lyricism and gesture – sometimes magnetic, sometimes lurid. Color is at the heart of our latest Bernstein acquisition, creating poetic simplicity, letting each color – in its boldest hue – do the heavy lifting. Also new to our collection, William Meyerowitz’s merry monotype fractures forms in a cubist manner, capturing Gloucester’s vibrant
waterfront. And we’re thrilled to showcase Marguerite Stuber Pearson’s color mastery capturing sparkling Lumber Wharf from her elegant Rockport garden.
CAPE ANN COLLECTORS believes color makes you happy – come see!
