VESSEL

Fisheries, the oldest industry in the Commonwealth uninterruptedly pursued on Cape Ann, are on full display at CAPE ANN COLLECTORS August Show, VESSEL – opening Saturday, 08/09, and Sunday, 08/10, 2-6 PM.

Consider the stories, aspirations, dangers and commerce contained in this industry’s vessels: pinkies, schooners, trollers, barques, tugboats, dories, gaff-rigged skiffs and Novi hulls. CAPE ANN COLLECTORS master artists (52 works on display) capture fleets of vessels with full open sails, dockside schooners at day’s end, and reflected dories upon the water. These vessels serve as containers for narratives – personal, cultural, historical and metaphorical!

Join us to immerse yourself in VESSEL, a multi-sensory voyage!
